Bonzo Lounge comes to Market Place

Keynsham has welcomes a brand new bar restaurant Bonzo Lounge to Market Place, creating 25 jobs for local people.

Bonzo Lounge is part of Loungers, a West Country restaurant bar group, and will cater for all tastes throughout the day.  Whether you’re after a tasty coffee, somewhere for a business lunch or perhaps a lazy all-day brunch, Bonzo Lounge is the perfect place to relax and unwind. 

The restaurant specialises an array of delicious dishes from tapas and Smokehouse pulled pork burgers to frittata and some of the best fish and chips you’ve ever tasted. They also have a daily specials board and are fully catered for children with their very own kids’ menu.

To celebrate the launch, children from Snapdragons’ Day Nursery joined executive chef, Theo Guy, for a cookie decorating session with was thoroughly enjoyed by all.  The children also participated in a colouring competition which was judged by local Keynsham artist Adele Christensen.

Rosemary Collard, owner, Snapdragons said: “The children really enjoyed having fun at Bonzo Lounge.  We place a real emphasis on great food so this was a perfect activity for the children.”

Loungers has invested £550K transforming the empty unit on the Market Place in Keynsham’s brand new town centre development into a retro home from home, where dramatic art work sits next to oversized vintage sofas and statement light fittings, in the eclectic style much loved by Lounge aficionados.  Floor to ceiling glazing floods the site with natural light allowing customers to enjoy views of the newly landscaped terraced gardens.  There is also a vast outdoor seating area.
