DEBBIE WILLIAMS STEPS DOWN AS PRESIDENT OF CHIPPENHAM CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Debbie Williams, co-founder of one of Wiltshire’s most successful heating and plumbing companies, has stepped down as the president of the Chippenham Chamber of Commerce after five years.

She said: “I was delighted to take on this role to represent and support the diverse and growing business community we have in our town. During my time, I hope fellow members feel that I’ve been a valuable president. However after five years  it’s time for someone else to take the helm. This role as been a huge honour and I wish the new president every success.”

Debbie’s objectives during her time as president were to:

  • Support the Chamber to become even more proactive in engaging with the town’s business community.
  • Raise greater awareness among the town’s businesses of the Chamber and its work.
  • Ensure the Chamber sets clear goals for the future.

Debbie Williams set up John Williams Heating Services Ltd with her husband John more than 15 years ago. At the time, Debbie was already an established businesswoman running her own beauty salon from home – a business she later sold to devote herself full time the heating and plumbing company. Today, with John, she runs a team of 25 people, working all over Wiltshire, Bath and surrounding areas.

She believes excellent customer service is the key to sustainable and continued success. She is also a passionate advocate of apprenticeships and she believes strongly employers and educators need to embrace and value apprenticeships far more.

Originally from Birmingham, Debbie moved to Wiltshire with her family and met John, aged just 15. They were childhood sweethearts who married when she was 21 and have two daughters Georgina, and Katie and a grand-daughter Millie.

John Williams Heating Services is a Worcester accredited installer , Gas Safe registered and a member of Oftec, the trade association monitoring best practice in oil heating installation and repair. They are based on the Bumpers Farm Industrial Estate in Chippenham.
