Inspirational business coach takes centre stage on National Freelancers Day
South West business coach Linda Davies-Carr will be the keynote speaker at a special event celebrating National Freelancers’ Day this month (June).
Linda will be speaking at event hosted by Freelance Mum at The Farm at Windmill Hill City Farm in Bedminster, Bristol, on Thursday June 28th.
To tie in with the World Cup, Linda, who owns bespoke coaching company The Master Fixer Group, will be speaking about how to set yourself up for success and get ready to take the next step.
Linda said: “I will be focusing on how to set yourself up for success as a freelancer, when to up level yourself and your business and how to up level, maximise and leverage your turnover, profit and business success!”
Mum-of-two girls and bonus mum to three boys Linda is a champion of small businesses, having set up The Master Fixer Group in November 2016. She previously spent 30 years in the corporate world, working for FTSE companies such as Lloyds Sainsburys and Barclays Bank.
She also set up and headed up the Bank of Ireland’s direct mortgage services, pioneering innovative products which have since been adopted across the industry.
“I work with a range of female business owners who have typically finished their first year in business and feel frustrated and overwhelmed and need to move their businesses forward. They often need more clients and they need to make more money,” said Linda.
“I work with about 30 clients a month. I’m not actively seeking new local clients at the moment, but if someone contacts me then I will take them on if there's a good fit.”
Linda has been a ‘fixer’ since childhood.
“It started at Brownies at a very early age and continued through school,” she said. “I was the one that got stuff done. I was always the one that got people galvanized into action. Helping is something that drives me a lot – helping others achieve success was always really important.”
The Master Fixer offers a variety of coaching options, from one-day to long-term support. For more details, visit www.themasterfixer.com.
Freelance Mum at the Farm on June 28th will take the form of a mini-festival with a variety of stalls from freelances ranging from crafts to accountancy, as well as entertainment from the Bristol Business Choir – set up by a freelancer Amy Box.
After Linda's talk in the morning, the afternoon session will see a guest panel discuss how to build your dream team.
