More Bath Businesses join the (Total) Digital Revolution
After the huge success of Total Guide to Bath?s first Digital Training Workshop last month, the team returned to The Porter for their highly anticipated second workshop.
The two hour long session saw some of Bath’s top Marketing Managers and Business owners’, including Thermae Bath Spa, Redwood Marketing, Alide Hire Services and Bath Boutique Stays, work their way through the industry’s best practices to keep their businesses firmly on board the digital revolution.
Les and Lynsay Rewood of Redwood Marketing commented:
“We thoroughly enjoyed the extremely professional presentations and seminars. It is really useful to support and consolidate our current knowledge – great for tips on how to save time in the way you are working and to introduce us to the newest developments. We also met a great selection of other businesses – so very worthwhile!”
The stimulating session kicked off with coffee, croissants and a 60 minute workshop by TGtB’s Social Media Marketing Co-ordinator Jess Lepore. Her talk focused on utilising Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin to promote business and generating successful leads.
The session catered for a mixture of abilities, and Jess was pleased to report “everyone had questions to ask, and points to improve on. It was great, from a training point of view, to see so many people keen to embrace Social Media as a marketing tool.”
Next up, SEO expert Digital Marketing Director Shaun Measday took the assembled business leaders through the basics of Search Engine Optimisation, Pay Per Click marketing and Google Analytics - particularly emphasising how all three can complement each other. This highly engaging session included live examples of how each discipline works and gave the attendees plenty of opportunities for the participants to ask questions.
Shaun commented; "It was really good to have such an attentive group together. I felt the workshop delivered real value, and I've had several subsequent follow up conversations with some of the attendees who want to delve deeper into some of the topics we covered."
Jess added; “In regards to peoples understanding and practice of Digital Marketing, it was fantastic to find that not only was everyone eager to learn about Social Media, SEO, PPC and Google Analytics, but it was also something they factored into their day to day workload.”
It’s clear to say that TGtB’s second Digital Training Workshop was a great success. The participants were able to walk away from the session with some very real actions which, when implemented, will achieve some very real results.
Marcus Whittington, Director of Bath Boutique Stays thought the session was “very well structured, dynamic but jargon free” and it delivered well in “bite sized chunks”. He found the team “friendly and experienced” and summed up the session up by saying: “It was an interesting and fully informative relevant session, which paid for itself before we had even finished the fresh coffee and croissants. I’d highly recommend it!"
