The ‘Survival guide to COVID-19’ event organised by Bath & North East Somerset Council will bring together restaurants, cafés, takeaways and food outlets to explore the best way to manage the new measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and how to avoid an outbreak.
The webinar panel will include council leader Dine Romero, the director of Public Health, Bruce Laurence, senior staff from the council’s business and public protection teams and a representative from the local licensed business community.
The event at 5pm on July 20 will take place on Zoom and people can register in advance here or watch on the council’s YouTube Channel.
Councillor Dine Romero, council Leader, said: “Two weeks on from the easing of lockdown restrictions, we want to hear from businesses about how they are managing measures to keep staff and customers safe and offer them support where they need it. It’s vital that we all work together across Bath and North East Somerset to protect public health at the same time as reopening businesses safely and successfully.
“It goes without saying that avoiding the risk of a local COVID-19 outbreak is important, so I hope that hospitality businesses in the district will join the webinar to share their experiences and ask for any help they might need.”
