Total’s Hayley O’Connor Completes Charity Skydive for Jessie May
We’re so so proud of our fearless Business Development Manager, Hayley, who has now completed her skydive with Netheravon, raising over £580 for Jessie May so far.
We’d like to say an enormous well done to our very own Hayley, who this Sunday (4th June) bravely jumped out of a plane at 13,000ft, reaching speeds of up to 195mph during freefall, before opening her ‘chute and peacefully gliding down to earth. The jump took place at Netheravin, home of the Army Parachute Association. Hayley was all smiles before and after the jump, and hasn’t ruled out another one:
“It was such a euphoric feeling! When they opened the plane, it was the most surreal thing as there’s nothing between you and the ground, but as soon as we exited all my training came in to my head and I could really enjoy the freedom and peace of flying through the air! The fact that all my amazing sponsors have meant I could raise so much money for Jessie May has been the icing on the cake. They’re such a fantastic organisation who do such great work, so anything I could do to help, I’d do all over again.”
Jessie May provides nursing care at home for children with a terminal illness in the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire areas. The charity receives no statutory funding and so relies totally on voluntary contributions to fund its service.
There is still time to donate to Hayley’s JustGiving Page, so if you have an extra few pounds, please give what you can.
