An Afternoon Tea Fit for Jane Austen with a 21st Century Twist!

Bath’s Pump Room has created a delicious commemorative Jane Austen Tea to coincide with the City’s annual Jane Austen Festival.

The tea, which will be available from 9th to the 18th September only, draws upon the traditional Georgian flavours of the day, however, rather than sending a ladies maid to book your table the Pump Room now offers the opportunity to simply book online at www.pumproombath.co.uk

Georgian attire is encouraged, although not essential, to take part in the tea and there will be plenty of opportunities for people to capture their moment and take pictures of them enjoying afternoon tea in the surroundings of this iconic Bath venue.

Jane Austen herself would surely have approved of the menu which includes; a glass of Fentimans botanically brewed ginger beer, Potted jellied ham with pickled vegetables and brown toast, Homemade scones with Earl Grey butter and plum jam a Lemon curd mini Bath Bun and a Jane Austen custard tart accompanied by a Gooseberry syllabub dessert shot and of course a pot of Pump Room specially blend loose leaf tea

The Jane Austen tea costs £23.50 per person and should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.  Gift vouchers are also available.
