Bath Good Food Awards 2015 Finalists Announced

The Good Food Awards celebrate the thriving food and drink scene which Bath holds and the votes from the Bath public have been counted. They have chosen their finalists for the independent awards that pin point the city’s most popular restaurants, cafes, pubs, delis and local producers.

In its fifth year of running the Bath Good Food Awards which is sponsored by a food service distribution company Arthur David. They have been suppliers to the catering industry all over the South West for the past 50 years. As well as this the Local Producers Awards are sponsored by Almondsbury Garden Centre.

Over 15,000 votes were cast by the public and businesses in and around Bath, and submitted online at the Bath Good Food Awards website. This is the biggest vote to date for the Awards which has become a well-recognised feature of the Bath food scene. The businesses that received the most public votes and made this year’s shortlist are listed below.

The next stage will see a panel of expert judges visit the restaurants to make their final decisions. The panel will visit each shortlisted business as mystery diners to judge their food and service, and will conduct a blind tasting of local produce at the Local Producers Awards judging day in early November.

The independent judging panel is led by head judge Angela Mount, and this year will include:

•             Richard Bertinet – Bertinet Kitchen Cookery School, author and BBC Food Champion

•             Wan Ping Coombs – Masterchef winner 2014

•             Noya Pawlyn –  Noya’s Kitchen cookery school
