New Hollywood film Life Itself starring Antonio Banderas teams up with Spanish Chef Omar Allibhoy & Tapas Revolution for Paella Month in January
Tapas Revolution Bath is pleased to announce that they declaring January, ‘Paella Month,’ to mark the cinema release of Life Itself starring the legendary Spanish actor Antonio Banderas who counts Tapas Revolution founder and TV Chef Omar Allibhoy’s Paella as one of the best he’s ever had. Encouraged by Antonio’s support, Omar has since gone on to spread his ‘Tapas Revolution’ throughout seven cities in the UK and has even been likened to his acting compatriot by being dubbed the ‘Antonio Banderas of cooking’ by Gordon Ramsay.
Omar Allibhoy prepared a Valencian Paella for Antonio Banderas on The One Show which was described by the Hollywood superstar as “the best… I’m going to take this to my hotel to eat tonight.” The Spanish duo is united by their love of the iconic national dish of their motherland, where they share the same tradition of making Paella every Sunday for their respective families. Following their encounter on the show Antonio picked up a copy of Omar’s Tapas Revolution cookbook to recreate the TV Chef’s take on the dish for his own family.
Omar says: “I have fond memories of cooking for Antonio on The One Show and I was excited to see that he is starring in a film that is set in Carmona, a town that I used to visit as a child in Spain. I’m delighted to be collaborating with Life Itself to showcase a beautiful part of Spain and there are many typical Carmonan dishes on the menu at Tapas Revolution including Paella. I wanted to celebrate by dedicating the month of January to mine and Antonio’s share loved of the dish."
To celebrate Paella Month and the release of Life Itself, Tapas Revolution will be offering guests four tapas for £15 from the entire menu. Guests will also be offered the chance to WIN a luxury wine tasting and spa break with the Vineyard Hotel in Berkshire, plus a case of Oddbins wines in partnership with Life Itself.
