Rajpoot Celebrates 35 Years
Bath’s internationally renowned Rajpoot restaurant celebrated its 35th Anniversary this autumn. To commemorate their anniversary, the restaurant held a spectacular evening of celebrations attended by high profile guests, celebrities, media, Bath Rugby players and selected VIP guests.
Guests began arriving from 7.00 pm and at 8.00 pm the anniversary cake was cut. Owner Ahmed Samad Chowdhury was assisted by Rt. Hon Lord John Cope, Ben Howlett MP, Cllr Ian Gilchrest (Chair of BANES), Lynne Fernquest (Bath Chronicle Editor) and Georgette McCready (Editor of Bath Magazine), Honourable guests also gave short speeches. Speakers praised Rajpoot for being one of the best Restaurants in UK and regularly wining prestigious awards. They called Rajpoot Bath’s “Jewel in the Crown”.
As the evening commenced, complementary drinks were served, and after the main ceremony guests helped themselves to an array of fine food cooked by Rajpoot chefs.
The evening also hosted a raffle to raise funds for the Royal United Hospital Cancer Unit. Prizes included a ‘Bath Rugby Ball’ signed by players, “Cobra - a bottle for six months” -7 cases (courtesy of Cobra Beer), 2 Boxes of Assorted Indian Wine (courtesy of Salttree Wines) and a Meal Voucher from Rajpoot.
