At Ston Easton Park Easter isn't Just for Kids
The stunning Victorian Grounds will play host to a special event on Easter Sunday for dogs and their owners this April.
Oscars Easter Eggs-Travaganza will see hundreds of happy pooches enjoy the grounds and gardens at Ston Easton for Somerset’s biggest canine treasure hunt!
As well as the walk of a lifetime, fluffy Poms and bouncy Beagles will be able to nose out their very own Easter ‘eggs’, in the form of tasty (and healthy) dog treats dotted around the walk.
The doggy extravaganza is named after the hotel’s very own Oscar the Cocker Spaniel, a lively chap and a firm favourite with all the guests. His high energy levels will no doubt make him fit to burst on Easter Sunday, as his garden fills with new friends large and small. He’ll be sporting his very own action camera too, to record the treat hunt from a uniquely doggy point of view!
The event is completely free, for both hotel guest and those just visiting for the day. Should you wish to stay over, however, the whole Easter weekend is planned to be a canine friendly event, with rooms available for both you and your four legged friend to celebrate the long bank holiday weekend.
Guests staying at the hotel over the Easter weekend will enjoy not only full board and lodging, including a three course dinner in the evening, but will also be greeted with a handmade chocolate Easter egg on arrival in their room. Your furry friend will get the five star treatment too, with a freshly prepared doggy dinner in the evening - using local, natural ingredients of course.
The beautiful Ston Easton Park is wonderful to visit at any time of year, but is particularly magical right now. Visitors will notice how spring is starting to colour the trees and the first flowers are showing their faces. The extensive grounds cover around 36 acres, and are picture postcard glorious, capturing the essence of everything that makes Somerset special.
The hotel itself is definitely a jewel in the crown of this part of the Westcountry, blending historical wonder with modern comforts. Once a Tudor manor house, the fully renovated property has maintained its romantic air, with antique fixtures and furnishings to complement the high ceilings of the delightfully appointed rooms.
Boasting four AA red stars, two AA rosettes and an award from Tripadvisor for the exceptional experience guests can enjoy, Ston Easton is a popular choice for short breaks, longer holidays and even just for dinner. For those who can’t make the doggy friendly Easter events, there are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy Ston Easton all year round.
Easter weekend breaks take place from the 3rd to the 6th April, and cost from £147.50 per person. The stay includes overnight accommodation, a three course A la Carte dinner, a special, healthy doggy dinner and a full English breakfast the next day. The Easter Eggs-Travaganza will be held between 11am and 4pm on Easter Sunday, 5th April, and is free for both residents and non-residents of the hotel.
