Bath in Fashion 2014: Look Fabulous Styling Lunch at the Abbey Hotel

We sent TGtB's Content Editor Emily Griffin along to Bath in Fashion's 'Look Fabulous Styling Lunch' at the wonderful Abbey Hotel. Here is what she got up to:

I was really looking forward to this event, and I wasn't disappointed. We were graciously greeted at the lovely Abbey Hotel's reception, with a glass of their delicious Bath in Fashion Champagne cocktail, before being lead through to the Allium's gorgeously decorated dining room.

The Bath in Fashion 2014 Look Fabulous Styling Lunch is a fantastic ladies luncheon that has returned for another successful year. The event was hosted by Jo Stroud, owner of 'Fabulous' and 'Pandora Bath', with Lyn Bromley owner of personal image consultancy 'First Impressions'.

Once seated comfortably, Jo and Lyn gave us a wonderfully insightful talk on styling; looking at yourself, your size, your colouring and personal tastes. We used this to help us discover which jewellery trends, colours and styles are most complimentary to our personal appearance.

Jo, the jewellery expert, was able to explain how to wear key pieces and gave us the low down on this season's most on-trend, must-have pieces. Lyn helped us to understand the difference between cool toned skins and warmed toned jewellery and demonstrated how wearing the wrong shades can have a profound and unflattering effect.

After this little insight into the fascinating world of personal styling, and the important part jewellery plays in our overall look, we were treated to a delicious two course meal from the Allium Brasserie -which was simply fantastic.

After the event we were given the chance to speak to Jo and Lyn individually. This was a great chance to have a mini consultation with two industry experts.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the event and we hope to return next year!
