Bath on Ice returns bigger and better for this winter!
Bath on Ice, the beloved ice rink that transforms Royal Victoria Park into a winter wonderland each year, might be gearing up for its biggest season yet!
For over a decade, this festive attraction has been a cornerstone of the city's Christmas celebrations. However, earlier this year, the planning permission allowing the rink to operate at the park's tennis courts expired. But don't worry, the organisers aren't letting that stop them! They’ve submitted a fresh planning application to Bath and North East Somerset Council, and their vision for the future is grander than ever.
If approved, Bath on Ice will expand to accommodate up to 400 skaters at a time, up from the current 310 capacity. Alongside the rink, the proposal also includes plans for skate hire, festive bar marquees, a powerful chiller, and a generator to ensure the ice stays crisp and ready for skaters.
This means that Bath’s winter season could soon be even more magical!
From December 15th, 2024, to January 5th, 2025, you can enjoy their real ice rink, Moguls Alpine Bar, and Glow Golf experience.
Returning for its 12th year, glowing with atmospheric lights and offering the perfect spot to practice your skating and show off your moves. With wintry music, a cosy bar, and seasonal drinks, you'll feel like you've stepped into a dreamy winter wonderland.
