Hartham Park set to Swing this November
Hartham Park will play host to a special evening of Electro Swing on Saturday the 15th November.
The night of swing has been organised in aid of Breast Cancer Care by Pam Murnan and Laura Larkin in memory of “Gommal”. Gommal was Pam’s Mother in Law who sadly passed away in 2008 after a brave six year battle.
By hosting a tribute night, they hope to celebrate her life and also help others. Breast Cancer Care UK, have been working for over 40 years to bring people together, provide information and support, as well as to campaign for improved care standards.
Funds raised on the evening could go towards any of the charity’s fantastic services; from the 24-hour helpline, support sessions such as ‘Relationships and body image sessions’, to campaigns aimed to raise and maintain quality of care for all those affected by breast cancer.
Laura said, “The swing night is the latest of the fundraising evenings, which began at the Biddestone Arms. We have gone with a novel concept this year; there will be a live band, refreshments and much fun to be had. We welcome you to bring your family and friends and enjoy yourselves! The Swingers are a local band with a huge reputation for putting on fantastic entertainment, and will be playing from 7.30pm until late.”
