Komedia Bath announces a series of free music festivals in association with Bath Spa University
Komedia Bath is pleased to announce the first in a series of Free Music Festivals, which will take place across two stages at the venue, on Friday 8 April.
In partnership with Bath Spa University, this event, and the quarterly events that will follow, will feature a mix of national and international talent, as well as up and coming artists from the Bath Spa University Commercial Music course.
The line-up for the first event includes multi-award-winning hip hop act The Scribes, festival favourites The Maitree Express, rap artists and brothers Stay Hungry, jazz-meets-neo soul rising star Avygayle & vibrant, 5-piece soul/blues band Water For Honey.
Tickets for the event are free, but we are running a ‘pay what you want’ option with funds raised going to support Bath Carnival and the wonderful work they do in the community.
Tickets are available to book in advance now at: https://komedia.co.uk/bath/music/free-music-festival/
By putting on these free music festivals, Komedia Bath hopes to provide not only top-notch nights of live music that are available for anyone and everyone to come and enjoy, but also a nurturing ground for up-and-coming artists to hone their craft, perform alongside more established acts, and play to larger audiences.
Each festival will take place across two stages, with acts playing in Komedia’s newly refurbished and kitted-out Electric Bar, as well as the main stage. For the full festival experience, there will also be a fully stocked bar with local beers & ciders, as well as festival style food from our award-winning in-house kitchen all night long.
This event will take place between 5:30 – 10pm on Friday 8 April and all ages are welcome, with under 16s to be accompanied by an adult. Dates and line-ups for more upcoming Free Music Festivals at Komedia Bath will be announced soon.
