Planning a hen party weekend in Bath? Here’s your itinerary

Choosing a city destination for a hen party is never an easy task. At the top of our list is the city of Bath, a perfect place to celebrate and unwind with the girls. Renowned for its natural thermal spa with mineral-rich waters and grand architecture, Bath is also packed with incredible, surprisingly lively venues.

We’ve written a handy guide to help you plan an unforgettable hen party in Bath. To find out how to make the most of your weekend, read on.

Friday

1. Check-in

We’d recommend booking a large apartment or Bath townhouse on Airbnb to make sure there’s enough space for everyone. Even though travelling at the end of the week might feel tiring, it’s always worth it for a longer, fun-filled weekend.

2. Order a takeaway

It might be a few months since the last time you and the girls had the chance to catch up together, so why not spend the evening at your home-from-home to kick off the weekend? Choose your favourite food to order and put your feet up while you exchange all the latest gossip.

Saturday

1. Early morning spa visit

Bath Thermae Spa is the only one of its kind in the whole of the UK, so we’d strongly recommend including it in your itinerary. Dating back over two thousand years, you’ll be able to unwind here just like the Romans did.

Arrive early and beat the crowds with a two-hour spa experience at the main spa, costing just £40pp for unrestricted access to two spectacular baths, including the mesmerising rooftop pool.

2. Brunch

After you’ve dried off from your spa visit, head to town for brunch. Going bottomless isn’t compulsory, but always comes highly recommended. There’s no better start to a hen weekend than a couple of Bloody Mary cocktails and a Full English breakfast, preparing you mentally and physically for what’s to come.

3. Cocktail classes

Once you’ve finished getting ready, the best way to start your Saturday night is by booking a private cocktail masterclass. You can guarantee that you’ll have a great time making and drinking a variety of delicious cocktails, all from the comfort of your accommodation.

4. Dinner and drinks

Dinner doesn’t have to be fancy: there’s an impressive selection of restaurants in Bath, with many hen-friendly venues boasting an eclectic mix of dishes on their menus.

Once you’ve found a restaurant in Bath offering something for everyone, you’ll be ready to head out and dance the night away straight afterwards. Just don’t forget to book your table a couple of weeks in advance!

Once you’ve hit the town, we wouldn’t expect you to follow a plan on the Sunday while you’re battling through a hefty hangover. Take the morning to snooze, catch up on last night’s antics, and get some fresh air before heading home and sorting out that Instagram post.
