RUSSELL HOWARD TO HOST GIG IN BATH IN AID OF BATH RUGBY FOUNDATION
Award-winning comedian Russell Howard will host a one-off show in Bath to raise funds for Bath Rugby Foundation.
Russell is one of the UK’s most successful comedians, appearing as a regular on Mock the Week before writing and starring in his own TV shows Russell Howard’s Good News and The Russell Howard Hour, as well as performing stand-up worldwide. Russell is a long-term supporter of Bath Rugby Foundation and this will be the fourth gig that he has performed in Bath for the charity.
The comedy show - Russell Howard and Friends - will take place at 7.30pm on Saturday, July 13 at Bath’s historic venue The Theatre Royal.
Bath Rugby Foundation’s Chief Executive, Lynne Fernquest, said: “Russell has been a great supporter of Bath Rugby Foundation over the years and we are so pleased that he has agreed to give up his valuable time for our charity once again.
“Russell’s show promises to be one of the highlights of the Summer in Bath and we know, from past experience, that the tickets will be in high demand when they go on sale.
“Our thanks to Russell and his team, as well as the generous team at The Theatre Royal Bath who have done so much to arrange this comedy show.”
Built in 1805, the 900-seat Theatre Royal Bath has seen the most famous names in comedy perform, including Russell Howard’s last gig for Bath Rugby Foundation in 2016.
Bath Rugby Foundation, the charitable arm of Bath Rugby, works to empower young people to succeed and create a better future for themselves through a variety of sports and activities. All of the funds raised from Russell Howard’s show will help support Bath Rugby Foundation’s ambition to help to change young lives in and around Bath.
