The Holburne Museum

Bath's Holburne Museum is open daily and admission to the Museum and art collection is free. You will find a beautiful and fascinating art collection in one of Bath's great buildings.

The stunning modern extension has galleries to explore and a Garden Café which opens onto the park behind, serving fresh seasonal lunches and delicious cakes.

An eclectic Collection of Art includes everything from Renaissance treasures to masterpieces by Gainsborough, Zoffany and Brueghel and from fine embroideries to exquisite silver and porcelain; there is lots to enjoy and take pleasure in.

There is also a changing temporary Exhibition Programme and calendar of events full of creative Art Activities and Music including lunchtime and evening recitals - scroll down for the upcoming events list.

The Museum Shop stocks a great selection of art ideas and books as well as souvenirs and gifts inspired by its collection of decorative arts and eighteenth-century paintings. 

The Holburne Museum is a great location for exclusive Corporate and Private Events with its enviable location within Bath's lovely Sydney Gardens and overlooking Great Pulteney Street.

Whether you are holding a relaxed small Wedding ceremony or the full package including wedding breakfast and champagne reception, the team at Holburne can be relied upon to make your event successful and memorable.

The Museum also offers creative Arty Partys for your child's birthday or any other celebratory event. Choose from one of the following activity themes for children aged 5-10: Under the Sea, Superheroes, Sweets Galore, Pirates & Princesses, and Magic and Mystery. Or for the under 5s: Fishy Adventures, Pirates and Mermaids, Creepy Crawlies, Bugs and Butterflies or Wizards and Fairies.
