BATH BUSINESSES INVITED TO GEAR UP FOR THE 2019 HALF MARATHON CHALLENGE

The Bath Half Marathon is inviting businesses to get competitive at the race this year with entries now open for the Corporate Challenge. The Bath Half sells out every year but 500 places are reserved for entrants representing business teams that compete for the coveted men’s and women’s trophies.

The Corporate Challenge offers a unique team building and fundraising opportunity for businesses and guests to compete at one of the most popular city centre road races in the UK, and the largest single day charity fundraising event in the South West.

As Race Director Andrew Taylor explains; “The Corporate Challenge provides a bit of healthy competition between local businesses as well as encouraging fitness within the workplace, whilst raising serious money for charity and good causes.

“The Bath Half Corporate Challenge normally attracts around 40 to 50 business teams, representing companies across the business community from solicitors, architects, entertainment, engineering, telecoms, retail, to construction, and many other sectors. Business teams are encouraged to fundraise for one of our official local charities, or for a charity of their own choice. Business teams that took part in the 2017 Corporate Challenge raised an admirable £97,000 for a wide variety of charities and good causes.

The Bath Half Marathon is firmly established as the city’s biggest annual event. Now in its 37th year, the event attracts 15,000 runners in the half marathon and 30,000 spectators.

Businesses can pre-purchase their team entry (minimum of 5 entries, no maximum limit subject to the overall limit of 500 places) and register their individual runners at a later date.

Corporate team entries will include a fixed allocation of half marathon entries, plus access to the Corporate Challenge marquee in the heart of the Runners Village on race day.
