Bath Half Appeals for return of Timing Chips and announces delay in opening for 2019 Race Entries
Following the cancellation of Sunday’s 2018 Bath Half Marathon the event organisers are appealing to runners to return their timing chips.
“We use a reusable timing chip at the Bath Half, which is attached to runners’ shoes, these are posted out to entrants in their race packs in advance of the race, and which are then recycled each year for use at other events. We would greatly appreciate if runners can please make an effort to send the chips back to us to help us keep costs down for future events” said Andrew Taylor, Race Director
“Simply drop the small pre-paid ‘SportSystems’ envelope in your nearest mailbox. Alternatively if your race pack is unopened, please cross out your address, mark ‘Return to Sender’ and post your whole race pack back to us”
Entries to the 2019 Bath Half race, which normally open the morning after the race, will now also be delayed whilst the organisers concentrate on processing entrants’ refunds for the this year’s cancelled event. An announcement on the 2019 launch date will be made by the end of next week.
“Please bear with us as we manage the fallout after this year’s event cancellation”
