Eat Active

After a successful launch in 2018, Bath Rugby Foundation’s family-friendly Summer Holiday activity sessions, Eat Active, return in 2019.

Eat Active will see youngsters take part in a fun activity, followed by a cooked meal. If the British Summer weather plays ball we will bring our popular ‘slip and slide’ to the sessions – so bring a towel!

The FREE sessions, which are open to children aged 5 to 16, take place at Combe Down RFC from 11am to 1pm on Tuesdays (from July 30) for five weeks over the Summer holidays.

As the name suggests, Eat Active has a dual focus on activity and nutrition, for both young people and their families.

Us Girls

Over the summer holidays, Bath Rugby Foundation will be offering girls-only social sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays.

The sessions will be an opportunity to catch up with friends and take part in relaxed physical activity. This is different from any other class as you decide what we do!

From one week to the next, the female coaches will organise expert coaches or provide equipment, such as badminton, cycling, yoga, we even have slip and slides and dodgeball equipment.

Meet at South Side Youth Hub, Twerton BA2 1NR and we’ll either use the dance studio or the local parks.

Us Girls kicks off on Monday the 29th of July. Meet in the café and we’ll have a drink and discuss ideas before we head to the park.

Then we will see you every Monday (11am-12pm) and Wednesday (4pm – 5pm) at Southside Youth Hub.

Sports Leaders

Bath Rugby Foundation’s Sports Leaders course uses sport to help youngsters build new life skills through leadership.

Using sport as the vehicle for learning and development, participants learn and demonstrate important life skills such as effective communication and organisation while learning to lead basic physical activities to younger people, their peers, older generations and within the community.

Throughout the programme, Young People will be supported by Bath Rugby Foundation coaches who will mentor and support them in developing personal life skills, not just a qualification.

Summer 2019 sessions take place on:

  • Monday, July 29th, August 5th, 12th, 19th
  • Wednesday, July 30th, August 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th

All sessions run from 10am to 2pm, with a 45 min break for lunch (11.30am-12.15)

Participants will meet at the Bath Rec Sports Hub (Bath Rugby Foundation’s base) to start the course and subsequent sessions will take place in Bath Rugby’s South Stand hospitality area.
