Bath's Season Ticket Holders Get More With First
A partnership between bus operator First West of England and coach operator National Express means that around 12,000 regular bus users in Bath can now travel to and from London for less.
Holders of First Month Bath, First Year Bath, First Bath Uni Year and First Bath Uni Term time tickets can now obtain return National Express tickets to London (Victoria Coach Station) for just £9. Single journeys cost £5. Tickets have to be bought in First’s Bath Travel Shop, from the travel shop staff, and a valid season ticket – for travel on First buses in Bath – must all be shown.
Tickets for travel can be purchased in advance, or for travel on the same day (subject to availability).
Based on current ticket sales, around 12,000 existing First customers in Bath will benefit from the deal, saving at least £5 on return coach travel to London.
Commercial Manager for First West of England, Simon Ford says: “A significant number of people in Bath are set to benefit from this deal, which cuts the cost of coach travel to and from the capital for regular bus users. This adds yet more value to season ticket holders and rewards those who travel locally by bus. Notably this offer is open to both local residents and students at Bath Spa and Bath University. We hope it will prove popular and that our regular customers will take advantage of the offer.”
The journey between Bath and London (Victoria Coach Station) can take as little as two and a half hours while all National Express coaches are fitted with leather seats, air conditioning, power sockets and are fitted with a toilet for passenger comfort.
Tom Stables, Managing Director of National Express UK Coach said: “This is an excellent offer which will give added convenience to local customers and students alike and enable them to enjoy all the capital has to offer for less. Our coach service from Bath takes as little as two and a half hours while our vehicles are comfortable, reliable and affordable – so we hope many people take advantage of the offer."
