Best Beaches near Bath

Best Beaches Within Two Hours of Bath

As much as we love our city of Bath, sometimes we need to get away and take in some sea air! Luckily for us, Bath is situated fairly close to a range of sandy and pebbly beaches for us to enjoy for a day trip, especially in the summer months.

We've rounded up Bath's best and closest beaches, all of which are within two hours of the city. Here are our top picks!

This gorgeous pebbly beach has bags of history and is also a lovely secluded coastal destination to spend the day, with plenty of space to spread out although be mindful that it does become very busy in the summer months. The historic Corfe Castle is also nearby, so you could make a day of it!

Beach Type and Rating: Pebbly, 4/5

Parking: There is a big car park which can be accessed via Durdle Door Holiday Park and is a 15-minute walk from the beach. Please note that the walk is steep and suitable footwear should be worn.
