About: We’ll make it very clear now that Bath Skyline is undoubtedly the best viewpoint on our list, and one of the most well known too. Breath-taking panoramic views stretch across the horizon and you can not only admire the cityscape, but the surrounding countryside too. Bath Skyline also has some great and varied walking routes, so why not make an afternoon of it?

Parking: Very limited parking at Bath Skyline. Visitors are recommended to park in the city centre and catch the bus up to Bath Skyline – or walk if you’re feeling fit!

Prior Park Landscape Garden

Prior Park Landscape Garden

About: Prior Park is a National Trust owned landscape garden which sits on the top of Ralph Allen Drive in Combe Down. The gardens itself is nestled in a little valley, but the views from the very top are definitely worth seeing. The viewpoint overlooks the impressive Palladian Bridge and lake in Prior Park, with beautiful city views and scenic hills in the background.

Location: Ralph Allen Dr, Bath BA2 5AH

Parking: On-site parking is for disabled visitors only and must be pre-booked. Buses from the city centre stop just outside Prior Park entrance, or limited parking is available in Combe Down (10-minute walk away).

Alexandra Park

About: If you want to stay closer to the city centre, then Alexandra Park is a great place to visit with an excellent viewpoint. Being only a mile south of the city centre, it offers up-close and stunning views of all the cities favourite landmarks and is a great location to just sit back on a bench and watch the world go by!
