Charity Cyclists Come to Bath
The Two Wheel Testicle Tour rolled into Bath on Tuesday night (14/05/13), where Adam Tann and Daniel Huggins enjoyed some much needed R&R after almost 12 hours in the saddle battling against the elements.
Earlier in the day, the pair had visited both Reading FC and Southampton FC as part of their journey around all 20 Premier League football clubs, before finishing off the 130 mile leg with an overnight stop in Bath.
Adam said, "It was easily the hardest leg so far, not just because of the mileage, but the wind and rain was horrendous!". He added, "The wind changed direction when we left Southampton and that really helped us; thankfully we smashed the last section from Salisbury to Bath".
Total Bath met up with the guys as they checked into the city's Apple Tree Guest House where they were warmly welcomed by owner Les Redwood. He said "It's an honour to have Adam and Dan staying with us - we are so proud of them for what they are doing - we wish them all the very best of luck and were glad to help out."
After a protein shake and a warm shower, it was vital that the pair were properly refuelled for the next day's onslaught. A trip to Bill's restaurant was in order, where burgers well and truly hit the spot. The kind staff even presented them with a hamper filled with lots of delicious Bill's goodies to show their support for their effort.
Then it was back to the Apple Tree Guest House where they updated their daily blog, undertook a series of streches, iced their aching limbs and finally climbed into their comfortable beds.....ready for the next 100 mile day!
