Your Total Guide To lifestyle
The group will be joined by Bath Rugby Chief Executive Nick Blofeld, Olympic silver medallist Heather Fell and Bath Rugby President David Trick.
In honour of the Bath Rugby Foundation's 10th anniversary the team will cycle in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain from John O'Groats to Land's End, a distance of 982 miles in total and approximately 109 miles per day.
The Bath Rugby Foundation is an independent charity, 100 per cent funded by grants and donations from businesses and individuals.
Their aim, through their award-winning Education and Inclusion programmes, is to enhance the lives of children and young people through sport, in particular those who have a disadvantaged lifestyle.
The Foundation helped 22,500 children in 2012 and is proud to have worked with over 125,000 children since it started in 2003.
Flatman, now Communications Director for the Club said, “Let’s face it, people our size are not meant to sit on tiny saddles! But we are all very excited about the challenge this ride presents, even if we are slightly worried that one member is too out of shape to even attempt it."
"No names...However, we know first hand the amazing work that the Bath Rugby Foundation does with children and young people. If they can boost the self-esteem of a 10 year old child, then what’s better than that? That is what drives us on”.
