To mark the occasion of Bath’s 26th annual Mozartfest, The Gainsborough Bath Spa is planning a magnificent classical celebration of its own. For a limited time, guests can take advantage of an extraordinary fine dining offer that includes two courses, a glass of Prosecco, and beautiful live performances by Bath Spa University students – all for just £25 per person.
This very special offer is the perfect opportunity for classical music lovers to warm up for the main events later in the evenings. Performances will include masterpieces by Hayden, Ravel, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Wagner and of course Mozart. The hotel will provide complimentary transfers to the Mozartfest venues the Assembly Rooms and St Mary’s, Bathwick, as part of the offer.
The Gainsborough is also collaborating with the organisers of Mozartfest to offer one lucky person the chance to win two tickets for The English Concert with Harry Bicket, Lucy Crowe and Nadja Zwiener on Saturday 19th November, 7:30pm at Bath Abbey. The prize will include two pre-concert two-course meals at The Gainsborough Restaurant. To enter this free competition, hopefuls should email their full contact details to [email protected] with the subject line ‘Mozartfest Competition’ by Monday 14th November.
Commenting on the event, Hotel Manager Brian Benson said: “Music runs through the veins of Bath’s heritage; the Georgians were passionate about opera, and Bath’s residents at that time would enjoy live classical music at the Assembly Rooms, the Pump Room, and even whilst bathing in the Cross Bath, which is still in use today just across the road from The Gainsborough. It is fitting that we be involved with this year’s Mozartfest in Bath; our restaurant is the perfect location to enjoy live music whilst dining on exquisite cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients. The hotel occupies two historic listed buildings, and the interior is very classical in design, reflecting Bath’s Georgian history.”
The Mozartfest offer will run every evening from Friday 11th – Saturday 19th November (excluding Sunday 13th November). The programme is as follows:
