Learn to Cycle with Bath and North East Somerset Council

Bath & North East Somerset Council have launched a fantastic new project offering free cycling lessons to any adults that live, work or study in the district.

The lessons will be run by experienced trainers from Cycling Instructor and are aimed to help get adults back on their bikes and more confident behind the handlebars.

The exciting new scheme offers two-hour one-to-one lessons; these can be arranged for any place and any day of the week with all equipment kindly provided by the council. The lessons can be arranged for all levels, from complete beginners or those with lots of practice.

The lessons will include top basic training and important key skills such as brake control, accurate steering and signalling.

Cllr Caroline Roberts (Lib-Dem, Newbridge), Cabinet Member for Transport, said: “The trainers are friendly, knowledgeable and give you the opportunity to build your confidence on a bike. The sessions are easy to enjoy and you are guaranteed to learn a lot. Bath & North East Somerset Council strongly recommends people take up this positive opportunity which can improve your physical wellbeing, and help you get back in the saddle!”
