New Brand and New Premises Promote Health and Fitness in Bath

An upmarket health and fitness business has relocated to state-of-the-art premises in central Bath and unveiled a brand new look.

‘Health’ is the new name of RJS Fitness which now occupies newly-built premises in Crescent Lane, behind the Royal Crescent.

‘Health’ is the brainchild of sports science graduate Rob Suchet, a former Royal Marines officer turned personal trainer who is passionate about helping people to improve their health.

The business was first launched as RJS Fitness by Rob in 2009. He spent the first two years working from his home near Castle Combe before moving the business to a studio in Larkhall where he continued to expand. When the lease on the studio came to an end without the option to renew, Rob seized the opportunity to find premises which better reflected the brand.

“We were given the option to buy the commercial premises on the ground floor of a brand new property being developed behind the Royal Crescent” explained Rob. “We instructed Withy King to help us with the complex negotiations, which included arranging for my wife Lisa and I to purchase the property through our pension funds. Withy King was instrumental in helping us seal the deal and the advice we received at every stage was invaluable.”

Paul Daniels, commercial property partner at Withy King in Bath, who worked closely with Rob on the move, said: “Buying your business premises through a self-invested personal pension (SIPP) is an increasingly popular and tax-efficient approach and for a lot of people, makes more sense than paying rent to a third party landlord. I was very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Rob and Lisa and play a role in helping them take their exciting health and fitness concept to a whole new level.”

‘Health’ now occupies modern, boutique-style premises comprising a fully equipped fitness suite, luxurious changing facilities and a consultation room. Rob is supported by a team that includes a former UK junior triple jump champion, a semi-professional rugby player, a physiotherapist and a nutritional therapist.

“The new brand together with the new premises better reflects our ethos and underlines our commitment to individual health and wellbeing,” said Rob. “Exercise is an important part of healthy living but it is by no means the whole story.”
