Exhibition curator Helen Day has been collecting these books for over 20 years and is delighted to share the artwork with the local public. The Gallery is focused on making this exhibit accessible for all ages by including a free ‘I Spy’ trail that brings the Ladybird books to life along with ‘Toddler Thursdays’ that welcomes pre - schoolers for story - time sessions and Family craft sessions inspired by Ladybird artwork throughout February half term and Easter school holidays.
The exhibition will follow the artists and real locations linked to Ladybird books and the story of a humble Loughborough print business that became one of the most famous children’s book publishing companies in the UK.
