Public Places for Vitality Bath Half Marathon Sold Out

Running High Events, organisers of the Vitality Bath Half Marathon, have announced that general public entries for the 2016 Vitality Bath Half Marathon are now sold out, with less than three months to go until race day.

The 2016 race takes place on Sunday 13th March, and organisers have advised that there are a few chances to still enter and be on the start line in March. Over 110 official charities are involved with the Vitality Bath Half Marathon 2016 and some charities still have places available, including Lead Charity Macmillan Cancer Support. Anyone wishing to run should go to www.bathhalf.co.uk/charities/list-of-charities/ for a list of all the 2016 charities, and contact their chosen charity’s events team directly.

Business teams can still enter the Corporate Challenge, which is a unique team building and fundraising opportunity for businesses of all sizes and their guests. Remaining places in the Corporate Challenge are expected to sell out in the next two weeks.

Entries are also open for the one mile Family Fun Run, which starts and finishes at the Half Marathon start line on Great Pulteney Street and gives beginners and families the opportunity to experience the atmosphere and thrill of a big sporting event. The organisers are urging local runners to enter the Family Fun Run as soon as possible as entries are selling fast.

Race Director Andrew Taylor commented: “We are pleased to confirm that general public places are sold out, and the remaining charity places will be high in demand and snapped up quickly. Please contact your chosen charity as soon as possible if you want to secure a place in the 2016 Vitality Bath Half Marathon.

“The Vitality Bath Half Marathon is the largest single day charity fundraising running event in the South West and amongst the top three road races in the UK, and it is a great platform for fundraising for charities of all sizes.

“We wish all our runners good luck with their training over the coming weeks, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone in March.”

The Vitality Bath Half Marathon is one of the most iconic and longest established races on the running calendar with a quality British elite field and proven PB delivery. A record sum of over £2.1 million was raised for charity at the 2015 Vitality Bath Half Marathon, maintaining the event’s position as the largest single day charity fundraising running event in the South West.

The flat and fast course is suitable for all abilities and it covers a two lap 13.1 mile traffic-free course straddling both sides of the River Avon. The race starts and finishes in Great Pulteney Street, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Bath.
