REVIEW: Bradford on Avon Massage

Did you know it only takes 12 minutes to visit Bradford on Avon from Bath by train? A magical village tucked just outside of Bath, which is home to Lindsay’s new Bradford on Avon Massage space. A destination for relaxation and a well needed bit of “me” time.

As soon as I entered Bradford on Avon Massage, I felt like I was in safe hands already. The room felt warm and cosy, as it had been split into two sections. To the left of me was a spacious area with neutral tones, soft pillows and a selection of herbal teas. To the right of me was a room partitioner, providing privacy and a zone for relaxation. There is one part of the space that caught my eye, which was the beautiful artwork that hung on the walls, which had been selected from a local independent artist (Jacqueline Mitton) – these are small touches that I really appreciate when visiting a new place and I loved it.

We then sat comfortably with a refreshing cup of ‘sunshine tea’ and chatted away about my treatment. I did feel quite nervous as this was my first massage and I had initially booked in for the Deep Tissue Massage, but Lindsay guided me through everything, and we agreed that a holistic massage would be the best option for my body. A holistic massage would be focusing on my emotional and spiritual wellbeing, and my physical state. This is a treatment I never thought much about, but it sounded exciting and just what I needed after a busy week.

Lindsay provided me with a choice of oil scents, and I of course went for the lavender. As I lay on the massage couch, soothing music play and Lindsay checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable. It felt as though I was talking to a friend (that’s how great Lindsay was) and that made the experience feel extra special. It was a lovely 60 minutes of pure relaxation, as my body was finally receiving some well-earned attention.

The holistic massage is a treatment that I would recommend to anyone. It will leave you feeling totally zen, brand new and relaxed. So, who’s in need of a bit of me time?
