REVIEW: Enhance MediSpa Aesthetic Skincare Treatment

Enhance Medispa are experts in skincare and beauty treatments, we asked our Total Guide to Bath blogger @sarahfrombath, to visit the Bath-based Enhance MediSpa to meet Hannah and her team to try a treatment and see what all the fuss has been about since opening just over 2 years ago.

Here’s what Sarah wrote about her time at Enhance MediSpa, Bath.

The Enhance team have several decades of therapy experience between them and have curated a beautiful and tranquil space with unique treatments listing offering both traditional-style pamper treatments alongside ‘aesthetic’ beauty treatments.

I was met with a warm smile by founder and salon owner Hannah with the first of many offers for a much-needed cup of tea.

The Enhance ethos is that there is a treatment that will suit everyone regardless of age or problem areas. The team want everyone to feel that their salon is a friendly and welcoming environment for all.

The Enhance team offer a free and no-obligation consultation service, and they invite you to Miles’s Buildings (just off George Street) to talk through procedures and treatments that best suit you and your skins needs.

Following my thorough consultation, Hannah advised on an Elemis Biotec Firm-A-Lift facial, a combination of massage and galvanic currents to energise the skin’s cellular renewal, perfect for the areas of the skin I have concerns over.

The Biotechnology stimulates your skin’s cells helping the skin ‘switch the skin back on’. Sounded incredible!

For context, I have just turned 50. I would describe my skin as good for my age, although I have noticed some slackening around the jawline and neck in recent months.

Hannah talked me through every step of the process answering my questions and putting me at ease with an approach that no question was too silly.

I was already a big Elemis fan and intrigued to see how technology and their plant-based, science-led products would combine. All Elemis fans should note that Enhance are stockists too.

The treatments take place in their cosy and warm rooms tastefully decorated in a pared-back style in-keeping with the Georgian architecture. The beds have the softest electric blankets ready to switch on if needed (I was cosy enough). The rooms are lit perfectly for that low key ambience.

After prepping the skin using Elemis’ famous Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm (which smells heavenly), and adding a strap to my chin to target the jaw area that we identified as needing most help, my skin was painted with an Elemis conducting serum that would work both as a massage cream and a conducting agent for the negative then positive currents that the Biotec machine sends.

At first, the serum is cold but warms to the skin as it is manipulated. This process doesn’t hurt at all, it just feels like a delicate and controlled massaging technique.

This is followed by a dreamy facial to help lymphatic drainage (puffiness) and to maximise the benefits of the products on the skin.
Once cleansed a further mask is added before this beautiful treatment came to an end.

It was fabulous! Not only did I feel pampered and relaxed, but my skin felt wonderful; plump and smooth. The smile line’s either side of my mouth were visibly reduced and the skin below the brow bones were lifted too.

The jawline felt tighter and my make-up slid on and I only needed the minimum amount of foundation due to my skin’s fresh look.

And the really good news is, that these treatments work better the more you have them; a little like going to the gym was the analogy used. The more you go, the more benefits you see!

This treatment costs £75 for an hour or a course of 6 costs £380. They also offer a very competitive 30-minute express facial treatment for £45.

As mentioned they are Elemis stockists and have some fabulous gift sets perfect for Mother’s day gifting, or birthday presents for beauty lovers.

I had a wonderful experience at Enhance MediSpa.

They really are Bath’s skin experts and I’d be keen to try other treatments for 50+ skin.

With much thanks to Hannah and her team. I had a wonderful experience at Enhance MediSpa. I’ll be back!
