Ride Mallorca – Join Bath Rugby's Cycling Adventure and Help Change Young Lives
Bath’s army of cyclists have been invited to join Bath Rugby Foundation’s annual continental challenge.
Bath Rugby’s charity will be heading to Europe once again in October as cyclists raise money to help change the lives of vulnerable young people here in Bath
Ride Mallorca will take place in October with around 100 cyclists expected to head to the Balearic island.
Cyclists of all abilities are invited to join the trip – with organisers promising a focus on enjoyment. Cyclists can choose routes of different lengths and difficulties each day.
In recent years the Foundation’s fundraising cyclists have pedalled through Normandy and Tuscany, with well over £100,000 raised for the charity.
Ride Mallorca takes place from Wednesday 9th to Sunday 13th October and will be based at the five-star Zafiro Palace hotel in Alcudia, Mallorca.
Bath Rugby President, David Trick, has organised and will lead Ride Mallorca. He said: “Ride Mallorca is shaping up to be our best yet.
“Mallorca is known to be incredibly popular among cyclists with spectacular routes that are suitable for all abilities.
“We know that everyone who has enjoyed one of our rides in the past will love Ride Mallorca. And anyone who is interested in joining us for the first time will enjoy a wonderful few days.
“As ever we believe we have put together a trip that cyclists of every level of ability will enjoy, with different paced rides in the day and an amazing social scene in the evening.”
Bath Rugby Foundation has organised cycling challenges for years, with fundraisers making their way across Ireland and from John O’Groats to Land’s End before the Foundation decided to take the event onto the Continent.
Following on from the success of trips to France and Italy, Bath Rugby Foundation hopes to make Ride Mallorca the biggest and best trip the charity has organised.
Bath Rugby Foundation is the charitable arm of Bath Rugby. The Foundation exists to empower vulnerable children and young people in Bath and the surrounding area to succeed.
We work in three areas: Education, Employability and Inclusion across Bath and the surrounding areas.
As an independent charity, Bath Rugby Foundation relies on grants and fundraising events such as Ride Mallorca to finance our coaches’ work with vulnerable children and young people.
