"What does home mean to you?" That’s the question children from St Michael’s Junior School in Bath have answered through a series of models, pictures and poems on display at the new Arts Space exhibition launched by Curo on Housing Day.
Victor da Cunha, CEO of Curo said: “As part of national Housing Day, we wanted to highlight the importance of having a safe and secure home, so we asked the pupils of St Michael’s Junior School to create a model, poem or drawing showing what home means to them.
“We received a lot of brilliant entries and have had a difficult job choosing just 32 to display. Thanks to everyone who took part and told, through art and words, such powerful stories about our homes - the most important place in all our lives.”
Each pupil whose work is exhibited received a certificate from Victor da Cunha. First prize was awarded to pupil McKenzie Clark for his model house, complete with cut-outs of mum, dad and Timzy the cat.
Special mention also goes to five pupils who received Highly Commended awards:
The exhibition is currently running at The Maltings, River Place, Lower Bristol Road, Bath BA2 1EP
