Your Total Guide To lifestyle

TGt Meets...Hannah Paradise, Owner of Enhance Medispa

Meet our latest TGt Meets...Hannah Paradise, owner of Enhance Medispa. She told us exactly what Enhance Medispa can do, why it's so different from most beauty salons and why you should go definitely go there!

What lead you to open Enhance Medispa?

I’ve always wanted to be self employed and have my own business at some point. Things were changing at The Orangery as the business was moving and I was approaching my late 20’s and thought to myself it’s now or never, so took the plunge.

What did you do before Enhance Medispa?

I was a senior Beauty Therapist at The Orangery in Bath for nearly 8 years. Before this I was a Beauty Therapist at Champneys Day Spa in Bath.

What are some of your most popular treatments?

Our IPL Hair reduction treatment is very popular and also our facials.

Have you always had a passion for beauty therapy?

I have, it was the only career path for me I think. I suffered with acne from the age of 11 to about 20, this made me realise from such a young age that I wanted to go into a profession which would help people who were suffering either with what I suffered with or anything else which was contributing to lack of confidence or self esteem. Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of watching people change and gain confidence from treatments. This could be a simple manicure to a course of chemical peels. I want people to know that Beauty Salons especially Enhance Medispa isn't a daunting, scary or intimidating place and that we’re more than happy to help.

Who would you say are your top 3 inspirations?

Karen Brady - every business woman or aspiring business woman needs to read her book.
My Parents - I grew up with hard working parents who always inspired me to work hard.
Anyone who’s had the courage to start their own business and been a success because it’s hard work. Long hours, sleepless nights and a lot of ups and downs.

What makes Enhance Medispa different to any other medispa?

The word Medispa means a mixture of medical (aesthetic) treatments and beauty treatments. We offer something for everyone.

Why did you decide to create Enhance Medispa in Bath?

I felt Bath was missing a salon that could offer current, high end, luxury results-driven treatments in a welcoming atmosphere. So many people have said to me over the years that walking into a beauty salon is one of the hardest things for them to do due to feeling intimidated and uncomfortable. We want everyone to feel the complete opposite here.

What do Enhance Medispa offer?

We offer the following treatments with more to come in 2020 -

  • Manicures and Pedicures using The Gel Bottle
  • Waxing
  • Threading
  • IPL Hair Reduction
  • IPL Facial Thread Vein Treatment
  • Elemis Facials including BIOTEC
  • IMAGE Enzyme and chemical peels
  • Dermaplaning
  • Microdermabrasion
  • Lash Lift and tint
  • Lash extensions
  • Cosmetic Acupuncture
  • Doctor Led Injectables Clinic for example Botox and Dermal fillers
  • Semi-permanent makeup by Wendy Stallard

Have you tried any of the treatments at Enhance Medispa? If so, what are some of your favourites?

I’ve tried and tested them all. The best thing about beauty is that when you train with new brands or treatments you get to have them yourself. It’s so hard to pick a favourite. If I was to have a pamper day I would start with a Gel polish Mani and Pedi then finish with a relaxing Elemis Facial. If I needed treatments for quick results and speed I would choose an Image Enzyme Peel and then have either a set of Lash Extensions or a lash lift. There’s just too much to choose from.
