TGtB Meets...Jonathan Joseph
Straight off the back of winning the two main prizes at the Rugby Players' Association awards, we caught up with Bath Rugby and England centre Jonathan Joseph.
What is your earliest rugby memory?
My earliest memory of Rugby is playing at Twickenham for Derby under 10s.
What have been the lowest and highest points in your so far career?
One of the proudest moments of my career so far was playing in the 2015 Six Nations and one of my lowest was not making the New Zealand tour.
Who do you cite as your sporting idol?
Muhammad Ali - what a legend.
What/who inspired you to play rugby?
My passion and determination come from my Dad, he was the one who first introduced me to the sport.
What would your team mates say your best qualities are?
Communication.
What is your most treasured possession?
My shoes.
How do you spend your time when you’re not training or playing?
Looking after Anthony Watson.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
Enjoy every moment that you're playing, you never know when it might end.
You must have a pretty strict diet and fitness regime, what’s your food weakness?
Pudding.
What advice would you give to young, aspiring rugby players?
Enjoy it, work hard and leave nothing out there!
