MG Relations to represent The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa, Bath, in Local Markets

MG Relations will handle PR for the luxury Bath hotel in the Somerset region and surrounding areas.

MG Relations is delighted to announce its representation of ve-star hotel The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa in the local market. Specialising in luxury hotel and travel PR, MG Relations will be responsible for all local PR and comms for the city centre hotel, renowned as one of the best not just in Bath, but the UK. Headed up by General Manager Lorraine Jarvie, The Royal Crescent enjoyed a successful 2024, as the only hotel in Bath to be awarded two Michelin Keys, a redesign of a number of the hotel’s rooms, suites and spaces, and the full year of business for Montagu’s Mews, the hotel’s restaurant that opened in 2023.

Jane Austen 250

In 2025, Bath will celebrate the 250th birthday of Jane Austen, one of Britain’s greatest known novelists who has famed connections to the city of Bath. To celebrate, the hotel has put together exciting packages and experiences for locals and visitors to the city alike.

The Jane Austen Experience package invites overnight guests to step back into Regency-era Bath during an experience lled one night stay. Guests will be guided on a two-hour private walking tour with an expert guide from Fred Mawer Tours, one of Bath’s much loved Blue Badge guides. They’ll explore the very streets where Austen lived and set scenes in her novels Northanger Abbey and Persuasion, as well as some of the locations of TV and lm adaptations of Austen’s work. Following the tour, guests can enjoy a Jane Austen themed afternoon tea in Montagu’s Mews, bringing the avour of Regency England to life. This tea will also be available to non-residents, and can be booked at £49 per person, from April until October.

The overnight package will run during the months of May, June, July, August, and September, meaning guests can book during the most exciting time of the year for Austen lovers: The Jane Austen Festival in September.

The Jane Austen package costs from £660, and is available from 1st May to 30th September 2025.

Royal Crescent 250

2025 will also see the 250th anniversary of the Royal Crescent being completed, Bath’s most historic and well-known address, which the hotel calls home. This completion came eight years after the rst brick was laid, and there will be celebrations throughout the year to commemorate this. 

One of the most stand out events will be international musician and star Robbie Williams performing two dates in June on the Crescent, just steps from the hotel. During this weekend (13th & 14th June), the hotel will only be bookable for those attending the concert, and booking the Luxury Concert Retreat package. Guests will enjoy a leisurely afternoon ahead of the concert, surrounded by the excitement and anticipation as preparations ramp up in front of the hotel. They will be treated to a two-course celebratory dinner before heading out to enjoy the live music, after which they will return to the hotel to enjoy dessert and a glass of Champagne.

The Royal Crescent Hotel will be announcing more exciting celebrations of this landmark anniversary throughout the year, The Luxury Concert Retreat starts from £990, and also includes a 60 minute spa treatment.

ReBalance Bath

This winter, Bath will celebrate its annual wellness festival, ReBalance Bath, once again, following the success of the rst two years. Taking place from 30th January - 16th February, the three week festival comprises a full programme inspired by wellness and focusing on mental and physical wellbeing. Events range from inspiring talks to therapeutic taster sessions, and a focus on the healing powers of Bath’s waters. This year, The Royal Crescent are offering a Lifestyle Reset to Bath residents and visitors as part of the festival. Available Monday - Thursday throughout ReBalance, visitors can spend an hour in the gym followed by an hour in the Spa & Bath House, one of the best in the city, for just £25. In addition, for any visitors purchasing a spa membership following this taster offer, the joining fee will be waived.

Best Wedding Venue in the South West

In December 2024, The Royal Crescent was proudly awarded Wedding Venue of the Year in the SW Tourism Awards 2024/25.

This award recognises the outstanding weddings the hotel organises year in year out, ranging from exclusive use large-scale celebrations to more intimate packages. In particular, the magnicent Wedding Garden is a unique location in Bath: a secluded area separated from the main garden allowing guests to make their vows surrounded by honeysuckle and roses. The hotel was also recognised for their exceptional events planning team, and their focus on environmentally friendly weddings.
