TOTAL GUIDE TO SELF-ISOLATING FOR THE ELDERLY: LIFE UNDER LOCKDOWN WEEK 7

I can't believe I am now entering week 7 of self isolation for the elderly! What a blessing, especially for those of us lucky enough to have a garden or some outside space, that the weather has been so fantastic.

I now have a nice tan (I used plenty of suncream) but my hair is a disaster! It is in an awful midway stage between short and long enough to put up (at the moment my hair looks like Miriam Margolyes). I think I am going to invest in some jazzy hairbands. Hubby has decided to abandon his ideas of hippy hair and after much searching online has ordered some hair trimmers which should arrive this week. I will try and persuade him to let me take some before and after photos for inclusion in a future blog. Talking of hubby he has now decided to exercise with the Green Goddess instead of Mr Motivator; I wonder why!?

My song for the week is 'Things Can Only Get Better'.

I enjoyed some good TV this week including BBC's Big Night In which raised a huge amount for charity. I particularly enjoyed the Little Britain sketch which was as gloriously un-PC as ever. Also loving the return of Killing Eve with Villanelle up to her old tricks. She must be the most stylish woman on TV.

Last Monday was The Queen's 94th Birthday and how wonderful she looks. In the words of the restaurant customer in When Harry Met Sally I'll have whatever she's having! She is an inspiration and long may she reign.

I have been doing more proof reading for Total Guide to Poole. What a great place it sounds with so much to see and do. I can't wait to visit after lockdown. I think my daughter is trying to keep me busy. I feel like an honorary member of staff LOL.

Here is a random thing to do. Raise your right foot and move in a clockwise direction and then raise your right hand and try and write a 6 in the air! I won't say more. Perhaps my song for the week should be Queen's 'I'm Going Slightly Mad'!

Keep well and stay safe.
