Where to Vote in Bath

Whether you're voting the the local or general election, there are lots of places you can go around Bath to cast your vote. Below is information on Polling Stations in Bath.

To vote in the UK, you need to be on the Electoral Register, so you need to register to vote.

The particular Polling Station you need to go to to cast your vote should be printed on your polling card, which you should recieve through your door before the day of the election.

We're firm believers that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and we'll never try and influence the way you chose to vote. The most important thing is that you get to a Polling Station on the big day and make your voice heard.

Polling stations will be open from 7am - 10pm.

Postal vote handling and secrecy

From May 2024, there are changes to the way postal votes are handled:

  • Political campaigners are not allowed to handle postal packs. The only exception to this is if the postal vote is their own, or belongs to a close family member or someone they provide regular care for.
  • You will only be allowed to hand in a maximum of 5 postal ballot packs at Polling Stations and the civic office. This is in addition to your own.
  • If you hand postal votes at Polling Stations or at the Civic Offices, you will need to complete a declaration form. You can no longer use the postal boxes at Council Offices.

Please visit Bath & North East Somerset Council's website for more about voting.
