Black Nova Designs celebrate Christmas with their community and fellow business owners

Tech experts Black Nova Designs welcomed more than 60 members of the public and small business owners to their festively decorated Calne offices on Small Business Saturday (December 3) to celebrate another successful and fun-filled year in business.

Black Nova Designs is run by dynamic duo Kyle and Danielle Holmes. In 2023, the husband and wife team will celebrate 7 years in business. Currently with a team of six and actively recruiting, Black Nova Designs has transformed since its early years and continues to evolve.

With roots firmly in Calne, the couple wanted to throw open their doors and welcome both members of the local community as well as business owners and clients. The real purpose of this Open Day was to not only join in on the festive fun, sharing in the BND team spirit for free, at a time where many may be cutting back on events, dinners and days out or for those who might not have a team to celebrate with at Christmas.

Whilst the focus was on celebrating Christmas, the event gave individuals the opportunity to discover more about the services Black Nova Designs can offer. A firm favourite with the public over the past year has been their ‘Build A PC’ days for children locally whilst raising money for charity.

Founder Kyle said: “Running your own business can be lonely, particularly for the first few years. Suddenly there are no social events, no ‘water cooler’ moments and no Christmas bash. We wanted to have an open day and Christmas Party to invite business owners and members of the public from Wiltshire who wanted to share some festive cheer.”

The event was a success and included food and drink from local businesses Fluffy Puffin and Little Grazey, as well as a charity raffle for a hamper of goodies worth over £250. The raffle consisted of donations from other businesses and clients of the hosts, such as BlocO Choc, Femme Magazine, Zozo Thomas and many more. This raised £65 for local charity, Wiltshire MIND.

Managing Director Danielle said: “We’d like to thank everyone who came along to celebrate Christmas with our team and to celebrate our vibrant small business sector in Wiltshire on Small Business Saturday 2022!”
