Kim Conway-Birks of Trowbridge Ford Transit Centre is sharing what's coming up for them in October

We’re halfway through October already! It’s Q4 and one of the key business moments is, of course, Halloween (or at last for some businesses).

Today we’re talking to Kim Conway-Birks who is the Commercial Sales Executive for Trowbridge Ford Transit Centre who sell commercial vehicles to fleet and retail customers of all sizes.

What’s coming up for your business in Q4?
We are looking forward to continuing our support for Trowbridge Carnival and taking part in the procession on Saturday 21st October.

Are you doing anything in October for charity or for a community or volunteer project?
We are joining in with Breast Cancer Nows Wear It Pink Day on Friday 20th October with the entirety of Islington Motor Group getting involved.

We are taking part in a corporate challenge for Trowbridge Future by raising £100 to go towards their new premises.

Did you know October 10 was World Mental Health Day? How important is this subject in your business and in your life?
My own mental health is something I have really struggled with in the past and I think it SO important to take time for yourself and to get the work / life balance right for you. It’s always okay to not be okay but always make sure you talk to the people around you for support.

I didn’t know World Handbag Day was a thing, I have a bigger than necessary handbag collection - if there is such a thing so that’s getting marked in the diary straight away! 

I really enjoy getting into the Halloween spirit and carving pumpkins with my partner, in fact I am quite proud of some of my previous creations. 

Clocks go back this month so we get an extra hour in bed. How do you see ‘time’ in your business?
Time is important as a sales executive as it helps build good rapport with customers ensuring the best outcomes for them and their business.

Have you got any services or special offers you’d like to mention?

And finally, tell us one thing you love about the autumn/winter months?  
My favourite thing about Autumn is cosy nights in with my partner, watching films with a glass of mulled wine.
