It’s October with darker nights, wetter colder weather and winter is on its way. Let’s take the temperature of our business community. Today we’re talking to Alex Peters who is director at Green Park Brasserie (Steakhouse & Jazz Bar) and Bath Pizza Co. at Green Park Station, Bath.

What’s coming up for your business in Q4?

Plenty of good times and cosy evenings with winter cocktails, great food and live jazz/funk/soul/swing four nights a week!

We can’t wait to host our fellow Bathonians for a good Christmas knees up after a torrid 18 months! Our big heaters will be up and our festoon lights will be lighting up the building.

December bookings are flying in for our Brasserie dining and live music, plus we’ll have the heated Bath Pizza Co terraces for casual cocktails, pizzas and cosy evenings - we can’t wait to decorate the restaurant for a festive feel.

This month Bath Pizza Co has been announced as one of the UK’s Top 16 Pizzerias and will be competing at the National Pizza Awards in November with head chef Jonah Pole representing the business. We’re love meeting other pizza people and are proud to represent Bath and be mixing it with the nation’s best!

This is a month for harvest and Halloween? Are either of these important for you in your business?

Our local produce from Bath finest makes its way to our menus year round, but we’re looking at some Halloween inspired Bath Pizza Co specials - watch this space!

Clocks go back this month – an extra hour in bed? How do you feel about the darker nights etc?

Expect romantic candle lit evenings with live jazz inside Green Park Brasserie and cosy corners for sipping cocktails and enjoying our stunning venue inside the historic old railway station here at Green Park. We love making our restaurant spaces even more cosier with our lighting and our big heaters will be out on our terraces for the winter months.

We love winter in Bath and the darker nights that create such a special feel around the city as businesses light up their shop fronts and welcome guests in. There’s nothing better than getting cosy over great food and drink in a brilliant restaurant, pub or bar.

Have you got any events planned you’d like to shout about – either that you are running or attending?

Green Park Brasserie will be running a wonderful menu this winter with our popular steak from the local Newton Farm team up the road plus a host of dishes that will warm the soul! We’re taking bookings for tables of up to 6 and look forward to adding a festive touch to the restaurant and seeing some festive tracks from our fantastic musicians (every Weds, Thurs, Fri & Sat nights).
