Way off to perfect start as Bath City boss
New Bath City boss Darren Way got his tenure at the club off to a sublime start with a 3-0 victory at Chippenham Town.
Appointed before the Boxing Day encounter, Way saw his side seal a convincing win in a Boxing Day derby at Hardenhuish Park.
Scott Wilson netted twice for the Romans, sandwiching a debut strike from new loan signing Brad Ash.
Way started his playing career on the books at Norwich City before representing Yeovil Town and Swansea City at senior level.
Speaking after his appointment at Bath, the 45-year-old said: “I’m really excited to be joining Bath City, a club with a proud footballing history and a great reputation.
“I’ve been to Twerton Park a number of times during this process and know that this is a very special club with a fantastic supporter base.
“I can’t wait to start working with the players, Lee (Kendall) and all the support staff to help this team and this club reach their potential this season but also to realise our shared ambition of promotion in seasons to come.”
Bath City are currently 18th in National League South, with 25 points from 23 games.
