Way eager to give fans something to shout about at Bath City
Boss Darren Way insisted he was loving his time in charge at Bath City – and is eager to give the fans something to shout about.
The former Yeovil Town midfielder stepped into the hot-seat at Twerton Park in December.
He has since presided over two wins, two draws and one defeat. The Romans are currently 19th in National League South.
Speaking on Bath City’s official YouTube channel, Way said: “I love the club. I love the players. I love the staff. There’s not one thing where I wake up and I would want to change.
“The only thing in terms of finding it hard to coach against is the directness from the opposition. We had it at Dorking, we had it at Enfield. Enfield was very direct.
“Trying to coach against that and coach a team with tempo and energy, and then the ball goes out and there’s a delay, that’s probably one of the areas where I have to adjust.
“It’s an ultra-positive dressing room. The environment and culture is fantastic. The staff have been excellent with me in terms of the support they have given me.
“It’s a process we are going to go through. It’s going to take time and patience and we are all going to stick together.
“We’re going to make mistakes and we have to manage those mistakes. I’m probably really important in that process – that I don’t emotionally get frustrated. The players know that.
“We have got to make sure we turn that extra possession in the top end of the pitch and give the supporters something to shout about, because they’ve been fantastic. We want to give them more.”
Bath make the trip to face Truro City on Saturday (3pm).
