This Bank Holiday Monday, our lucky Sales and Marketing Director Rachael was invited along to enjoy a day of racing at Bath Racecourse for the Kids Takeover Day. Bath Racecourse is an exciting day out no matter what, but the day was made even more exhilarating by the stunning sunshine that we had in Bath. There were plenty of free activities for the kids to get stuck into, from face painting to bouncy castles, and of course the excitement of the races to keep the adults happy! Lots of people took picnics to enjoy on the lawn, and those who didn't had plenty of tasty options to choose from (including HUGE candyfloss!) The atmosphere was incredible and certainly made a wonderful day out for all! We couldn't recommend a day at Bath Racecourse enough, and we will certainly be back!

The Bath Half is the biggest half marathon in the West Country and one of the largest charity fundraising events in the region, supporting local and national charities each year. Known to be a favourite amongst celebrity runners, this year's event attracted a number of famous faces including X Factor Finalist, Kye Sones, Ashley James from Made in Chelsea, former Coronation Street actor, Will Thorp and ex rugby stars, Lewis Moody and Dave Flatman. South West Trains earlier announced that they are looking to gradually reintroduce services on routes that have been checked and cleared of debris. On Saturday 22nd and Sunday 3rd June, hundreds of people visited Queen Square, in the heart of the city to attend the annual Bath Boules Tournament. Billed as one of the highlights of the city?s social calendar - 64 teams, many of whom were local businesses, pitted their boules skills against one another in the name of charity, each hoping to be crowned this year's champions. All monies raised during the two-day event was awarded to the Bath Boules Charitable Trust, which funds several local charities and projects. Wealth management firm Moore Stephens were declared the winners on the first day of the competition while BMI Bath Clinic took the top spot on Sunday.

On arrival guests were treated to a champagne drinks reception before heading into a marquee for a slap-up 3 course lunch. In between courses John Cullum, the father of legendary jazz musician, Jamie, delighted guests with anecdotes from his son?s childhood, personal and professional life. After lunch attendees participated in an auction which saw generous donations from Excalibur, Mulberry, JCB and Rolls Royce go under the hammer. Following this guests made their way down to the paddock to place some bets and cheer on their horses to victory. TGtB even sponsored a race and had the honour of awarding the winning jockey with his prize.

Renowned for letting the music do the talking, The Modfather barely spoke a word in between songs. As the sun went down on yet another successful Westonbirt concert Jools ended the evening with feel good tune 'Enjoy Yourself'.
