Snapped: The Footprint project

Mayor of Bath, Councillor William Sandry, joined a team from Bath Abbey as they set off on a 140-mile sponsored walk to raise funds for the Footprint project – a development programme to repair the Abbey’s collapsing floor, install an eco-friendly heating system using Bath’s hot springs and create additional space and improved facilities for the half a million people who use the Abbey every year.

Victoria Park had some very pink visitors on Sunday afternoon (and it wasn't just because the sun was shining). Thousands of women took part in the city's annual Race for Life event. Dressed in their brightest pink t-shirts, wigs and tutus, women of all ages ran, walked or jogged their way around the 5km and 10km courses to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Ten thousand local, music lovers descended upon Bath Racecourse over the weekend to attend the 2nd annual Bathfest. Acts on the star-studded bill included Grammy award winners Clean Bandit, chart favourite DJ Fresh, and up-and-coming garage duo Gorgon City. As well as live entertainment, festivalgoers were treated to an assortment of fairground rides and sunshine, as the two-day outdoor music festival celebrated its second Birthday in style.

On Sunday the 15th of June, the ladies of Bath showed cancer who was boss by taking part in the annual 5 and 10k Race for Life event. This year, women of all ages ran, walked and danced their way around the course in a wave of pink and fancy dress. With Royal Victoria Park as the start line, the course wound itself around the park, Royal Avenue and the surrounding areas. Snapped: Bath Half Marathon 2014

Team TGtB were out in full force on Sunday to support our very own Liz Ledger and Grace Spooner as they competed in their first Bath Half Marathon. The Bath Half is the biggest half marathon in the West Country and one of the largest charity fundraising events in the region, supporting local and national charities each year. Known to be a favourite amongst celebrity runners, this year's event attracted a number of famous faces including X Factor Finalist, Kye Sones, Ashley James from Made in Chelsea, former Coronation Street actor, Will Thorp and ex rugby stars, Lewis Moody and Dave Flatman. Nicholas Kirui won the race in a time of 1:03:13, while the first woman over the line was Perendis Lekapana in 1:10:53. Catch up on all of the event's action in our Snapped Gallery below...

Snapped: Bath Rugby Takeover SouthGate

School children on their half-term break enjoyed an extravaganza of activities at the SouthGate Centre on Thursday when Bath Rugby hosted their annual holiday takeover. The Club's Community team entertained youngsters with rugby themed games and challenges, while Club mascot Maximus was on hand to cause mischief and mayhem. Plus, if all of that wasn't enough, lucky fans even got the chance to meet some of Bath Rugby's star players.

Our photographer joined the lads yesterday (Sat 1st February) for the second Bath Men's Walk which raised much-needed funds for both Bath Rugby Foundation and Dorothy House Hospice Care. The popular men?s eight-mile route took the walkers out from Dorothy House, Winsley to finish at the home of Bath Rugby - the Recreation Ground where they enjoyed a well earned ?pie and pint? and watched the Six Nations clash between France and England on the big screen.

Snapped: Junior Membership Club Party at Cardiff Blues Game

Bath Rugby?s Junior Membership Club hosted a party ahead of their LV= Cup clash with Cardiff Blues last Saturday. The free to attend party was open to everyone, with numerous sporting challenges and other activities (including circus skills and a samba band workshop) taking places across the afternoon. Club mascot Maximus and members of the Bath Rugby squad were also in attendance at the Bath Pavilion to provide some pre-match entertainment.

Snapped: Stonework and Sculpture Activity Day at Bath Abbey

On Wednesday 30th October, the Abbey held a ?Stonework and Sculpture Activity Day? to celebrate the restoration of its stone and sculptures. The event was part of the BANES Heritage Open Week and was a fantastic chance to learn about the Abbey?s history. Visitors got the chance to learn how to draw like a mason, try their hand at clay modelling, and even stone carving with the help of an expert stone mason. The event was part of the Heritage Lottery Fund oral history project ?Creating Voices? and was free for all to attend.

Snapped: St Jude Hits Bath

Compared to other areas of the South West, Bath has had a relatively quiet night given the initial Met Office forecast - with wind gusting up to 40 mph. The road teams have already cleared away debris at all 17 locations reported to the Council, earlier this morning. Although road obstructions have been dealt with successfully, rail services have faced the full brunt of the storm. South West Trains earlier announced that they are looking to gradually reintroduce services on routes that have been checked and cleared of debris. Well done runners! The Bath Half Marathon which is now in its 32nd year attracted a whopping 12,000 entrants. The winner; Ethiopian runner Tewodros Shiferaw won with a time of 1:03:26. Our photographers caught some of the action - and even bumped in to a few celebs along the way, including Dermot O'Leary and BBC Radio 1's Greg James.

On Saturday 22nd and Sunday 3rd June, hundreds of people visited Queen Square, in the heart of the city to attend the annual Bath Boules Tournament. Billed as one of the highlights of the city?s social calendar - 64 teams, many of whom were local businesses, pitted their boules skills against one another in the name of charity, each hoping to be crowned this year's champions. All monies raised during the two-day event was awarded to the Bath Boules Charitable Trust, which funds several local charities and projects. Wealth management firm Moore Stephens were declared the winners on the first day of the competition while BMI Bath Clinic took the top spot on Sunday.

Bath Rugby's The Rec played host to the JP Morgan Rugby 7's Final and Total Guide to Bath were lucky enough to attend. With a fantastic view from the hospitality box, the TGtB team and a number of clients enjoyed a hugely entertaining evening. Gloucester Rugby were crowned eventual winners, defeating Leicester Tigers in a thrilling final after an evening of fast paced, top class 7's action.

Snapped: Tom Briggs Strips Off to Model New Kit

Bath Rugby has unveiled its new kit ahead of their 2013/2014 Aviva Premiership campaign. Much to the delight of female supporters, Wing man, Tom Briggs stripped off to showcase the new jerseys hooped design. For generations, Bath's players and supporters have swathed themselves in the famous Blue, Black and White hoops synonymous with the Club. Bath Chief Executive Nick Blofeld commented: "We are very pleased to be back in the Blue, Black and White hoops. The supporters love them, and so do the players". The new shirt will be available in store and online from Saturday 17th August.
