5 Style Tips for a Valentine's Day Date

A Valentines date can be a little daunting, especially if it?s a first date. Making sure you get your words out and that there isn?t toilet paper stuck to your shoe is enough to worry about, so we?ll try and help you out with what to wear.

Au Natural

Natural hair and makeup is always the way to go, think Alexa Chung. You can add a touch of glam with a bright lipstick or pretty hair accessory.

Dress for the Date

If you’re going to the cinema then a prom dress is going to look a little over dressed, if you’re going to an expensive restaurant then your oversized jeans will not cut it (yes, even if you live in them!)

You Need to be Comfortable

Wearing your new 5inch heels on the date, when you have been used to ballet pumps for the last two years, will not do you any favours. You can still look pretty and put some effort in without going to the extremes, no one wants to see you rip your new skinny jeans or notice you have bright pink lipstick smudged along your face.

Simplicity is Key

Along with the natural hair and makeup, sometimes it is ideal to go simple! Men aren’t the best with knowing the recent trends, so this isn’t the time to think you’re on the cat walk (that can be saved for nights out with the girls). However injecting personality into your outfit is super important, don’t turn into a clone because you think it will be right.

If all else fails........the little black dress is your best friend.
