Bath Christmas Market : Thursday 28th November – Sunday 15th December
So, you’re heading for the Bath Christmas Market in central Bath? Great, you won’t regret it. Here’s everything you need to know (aside from the shopping is amazing!)
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday: 10am – 7pm
Thursday/Friday/Saturday: 10am – 8pm
Sundays: 10am - 6pm
The Bath Christmas Market is free to enter.
What is the best way to get there? Where can I park?
Bath will be busy, make on doubt about that, and using the Bath & North East Somerset Car Parks will be the same; there is an app that shows live car park spaces numbers via bathcarparks.co.uk if you need to drive.
Consider the Park & Ride options from Lansdown, Newbridge and Odd Down that drop you off and pick you up centrally. Or let the buses or the trains take the strain. If your coming form further afield look at the many coach packages that are very popular.
Is the Market accessible?
The main areas of the market are accessible via drop curbs and there is a disabled toilet facility at Terrace Walk too. Visit the Visit Bath website who have more information about visiting the city if you have accessibility needs.
Should I bring my dog?
Dogs are allowed in the market, but it might not be all that pleasant for them, being very busy at times. Not recommended.
Do I need cash or do stall holders take cards?
We would advise come ready with both! Some will only take cash whilst others will take cards too. There are cash points close to the city centre at Southgate, Bath Street, Terrace Walk and Milsom Street but these too can get busy, so any forward planning is advised.
Where are the toilets?
Toilets are situated on Terrace Walk (also known as Bog Island) and on Bilbery lane near the Chapel Arts Centre.
Food
There are food and drink stalls throughout the market helping to keep you fully energised for all that shopping.
When is the best time to visit the market?
Well, that all depends on what type of shopping experience you are after. If you wish to avoid the crowds and rattle through that shopping list then come early week day mornings.
If you want the full ambience, sights and smells then wait until dark as the evenings are very atmospheric, especially on Friday and Saturday nights when it is livelier.
