Spring/Summer '13 Fashion for Men

Our resident style expert, Daniel Flay, breaks down some of the key men's fashion trends of Spring/Summer 2013.

Find out how to achieve the perfect Spring/Summer look below:

Tie Dye

Tie Dye

Nothing quite says Spring/Summer 2013 like a psychedelic tie-dye or dip-dye tee.

Whether you're doing it yourself or buying it from a shop, tie-dye is the perfect festival print.

Style this £20 Black & Grey Tie-Dye Topman t-shirt with some tailored shorts, Converse and Raybans to achieve an effortlessly cool Spring/Summer look.

Zach Morris eat your heart out.

Knee-Length Shorts

Knee-Length Shorts

Shorts always have been and always will be a massive trend during the warmer months.

This year, many guys will be relieved to hear, that shorts have come down to a more wearable knee-length.

Smarter, more tailored shorts are the way forward and look great paired with tailored jackets for a whole new take on tailoring.

Ditch the super short shorts and opt for these brilliant £12.99 shorts from H&M instead.

Bomber Jackets

Bomber Jackets

The bomber jacket has quickly become one of the most sought after menswear pieces of Spring.

A timeless classic, the bomber jacket can already be found in a wide variety of styles and colours in a number of Bath stores.

Whether you want to play it safe in a bold pastel colour or push the boundries and experiment with an on trend floral print, Topman, River Island and Urban Outfitters have plenty of options for you to choose from.

My personal favourite is this sports luxe inspired, Mandino Bomber Jacket £175.00 from AllSaints.

Camouflage

Camouflage

Love it or loathe it, camo print is here to stay.

Many guys seem to be scared of this trend, but if they can pull off floral and bird print; surely they can pull off a masculine pattern like this too.

What's important to know is, like most bold patterns, the key to pulling off camo is to pair it against neutral colours.

If like me, you like your camo with a bit of twist, opt for these £60 Sanshiro Shorts from AllSaints. Not only are they a great wardrobe staple for summer but they tie in incredibly well with the workerwear look that’s trending at the moment.

Neons

Neons

One of the biggest trends of Spring/Summer 2013 is fluorescents, neons and altogether more vibrant colours.

Menswear collections have slowly been embracing colour over the past few years but this season the high street has taken this trend to a whole new level.

One of my favourite vibrant pieces is this Orange Blazer from H&M for £59.99.

The best way to wear this look is to subtly integrate splashes of colour into your wardrobe as the climate begins to heat up.
