Agulla leaves Bath Rugby with a heavy heart

Skilful Argentinian Horacio Agulla will bring an end to his Bath Rugby playing days once the season is over and will move on to pastures new, the club have this week officially confirmed.

The 63-times capped Argentinean moved to the West Country in 2012, following spells with Brive and Leicester. Agulla proved himself a hit with supporters thanks to his abrasive style of play, and has scored 23 tries in 67 appearances in the Blue, Black and White.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I leave Bath, but now is the right time for me to look at other opportunities and experiences that will be good for me and my young family,” said Agulla.

“Bath has been a brilliant place for us and we’re going to miss all the friends we’ve made here.”

Head Coach Mike Ford added: “It’s been a pleasure coaching ‘Ringo’ these past few years. He’s a true professional and his character is reflected in the way he plays, which is why he’s been so popular with Bath and Argentina supporters alike.

"We wish him the best of luck in the next step of his career.”
